Tantrik Yoga
Tantra is the yogic spiritual tradition based on transformation practices that create a radiant vitality in the subtle body. The word tantra originates from the root "the energy of transformation". Tantra is empowered by secret prana awakening practices like tantrasana - postures, with hidden forms that lead you to uncover a pre-exisiting higher state of consciousness - The Inner Teacher. By learning to follow their own Shakti as the embodiment of the Inner Teacher, techniques such as yoni mudra empower Tantrikas to embody the Divine as Devi. The sign that a yogini has become a Devi is that she embodies and radiates Light. Yoni mudra is depicted to the left by
Chinnamasta.
Tantra initiation occurs when a devotional attitude meets an awakened teacher steeped in this tradition. The Inner Teacher is prime means for providing guidance, yet practices and understanding can only be given by an initiated living teacher.
Chinnamasta and Mukunda have been initiated in the Tantrik Shiva - Shakti tradition of Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, India. Mukunda received spiritual intitiation from Swami Muktananda in 1974 and was trained to awaken others. Chinnamasta received initiation from Mukunda in 2005. Devotion to the Shakti as the Divine Mother has led to their consort relationship. They embody the archetypal Shiva - Shakti relationship as Lover and Beloved. Their communion leads to continual guidance. Consorts bring out the best in each other as they are both surrender to the third Presence. Their teachings help students live a tantrik lifestyle in all aspects of life.
For most these are just words, for some this is a calling. How long will you wait before allowing your Spiritual heart to touch you?
